Was there a UFO sighting in Texas that was as big as mile long and wide?

Is this BS or did these people see something?

This was most likely caused by a superior mirage. Imagine a mile-wide mirror 3000 feet above the ground: what would you see in it? You’d see the dark ground, and the lights of towns, farmhouses, and cars all appearing up in the sky.

On January 8, 2008, the date of the UFO sighting, Stephenville TX experienced a massive cold front in which the dewpoint dropped a huge 30 degrees in 9 hours (!!) This is exactly the kind of conditions that can cause a superior mirage.
