George Green Magnetic Motor – It Blew Away the UFO Conference, Will it Blow You Away?

The George Green magnetic motor created much fanfare when it was first introduced at a UFO conference several years ago. Could it be a real example of a working device that could be used in every household to generate their own electricity? In this article, I’ll take a closer look.

The George Green Tabletop Magnetic Motor

The motor itself is much smaller than other, similar, experimental magnetic motors. It consists of a small cut cross-section of plastic pipe (probably PVC) approximately one inch thick.

The inside circumference of this section is covered in plastic fridge magnets obtained from radio shack. Green’s model consisted of 14 magnets but leaving a small radius without any magnets at all.

The core of the motor features a rotor that is nothing more than a speaker magnet mounted to a ball bearing. It resembles a spinning top.

The Demonstration

The demonstration of this technology blows most people away the first time that they see it. The section of pipe with attached magnets is slowly brought down with a hand and passed over the rotor. Incredibly, the rotor starts to spin and does so indefinitely!

To see something spinning (and overcoming frictional losses) simply due to a set of magnets being held over it is quite incredible. Clearly this is yet another, albeit novel, example of magnetic motor generator technology.

What Are The Real Life Applications Of This Technology?

Commercial products are around 5 to 10 years away but currently under heavy development. Experimental motors have been around for a couple of decades but turning that into an industrial scale motor takes far longer to develop.

However, you can already use a magnetic motor generator in your own home. A typical DIY model will provide of the order of 7 kilowatts which is sufficient to run most homes. My only recommendation to you is that you get hold of a decent set of plans/instructions before you start, otherwise you can expect a major headache in trying to get a device working.

Anyone familiar with these UFO pictures?

First let me get something out of the way. I know yahooanswers is overrun with skeptics and people who play the game of critical thinking. These people should know my question does not tailor to the existence of UFOs. Please don’t play the idiot. I beg you.

From the definition of the acronym and past history it is safe to say they do exist. What’s uncertain is whether or not they’re extraterrestrial.

Anyways with that out of they way, they’re all similar and were shot relatively recently. I’m just wondering if they’re was some common object or something that’s out there that would’ve been used if these images were manipulated. Whether it be a program, or perhaps a toy model… I’m unsure because they are a couple of questionable photographs on the site.

The first two are 100% CGI. It’s easy to tell.

1) The light sources for the object and the background are different. They are different intensities and come from different directions. So it’s not a model or a balloon or something such as that

2) The resolution of the object is much higher than the background. the object was created at a higher resolution and then scaled down to fit into the picture

This could be done with a stock image using anything from an expensive program such as Photoshop or a free program such as G.I.M.P. It could also have been done using a stock 3D object using something like 3D Studio Max or Mayer. It could even be done using a free program such as Blender.

It would take somebody with moderate 3D experience a couple of hours to put together a 3D model like that, but you can also get them free off of the internet. I’ve seen some pretty cool ones for free. There are dozens of website where Star Trek fans have put up free 3D models of the ships form the show, or ships of their own design.

I’ve made a few bits and bobs myself and put them online, too.

The third picture shows the same craft, so it’s probably been made the same way. It says that it was 15 cm. That’s either a typo or a joke.
